A polite notice before booking:
1- We have a strict height and weight limit of 7.5 stone and 5ft, if your child is above this they will not be able to ride, we also will need to measure or weigh if we believe that your child is above this. This can put us, children and parents in an uncomfortable position, so please bare this in mind before booking. This is due to limitations of small Shetland pony weight bearing capabilities. We can recommend riding centres that use larger ponies for taller or older children.
2- By booking and taking part in an experience at our farm, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks that come with being around animals, particularly horses and ponies.
While our ponies are small, gentle, and well-trained, they are living animals and can occasionally become startled — especially if instructions are not followed. Please remember that ponies are not machines; like all animals, they have good days and bad days.
Although incidents are extremely rare, kicks or bites are possible. Our team will always prioritise safety and provide clear guidance to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
STARTER WOODLAND RIDES
Specifically designed for children wanting their first riding experience on our friendly and well behaved Shetlands. For children aged 2.5 upwards £30 for 45 minutes which includes a grooming session, a woodland ride through our beautiful, natural woodland, and then some handling of our rescued Guinea pigs, who love cuddles!
PONY EXPERIENCE
For children who want to spend more time with our Shetlands including a trail ride through our woodlands and learning pony care and the environment in which they live in. They will also , poo pick the fields, meet the Guinea pigs, the bull, Ringo and our donkeys, they will clean tack, have some transfer tattoos and have a general fun two hours on the farm . For children aged 4 upwards £45 each for two hours, minimum of two children
PRIVATE LESSONS
lead rein and off lead rein private lessons £40 for up to 30 minutes, aged 4 years upwards, or a six week lesson course plan for £200 his is to gain confidence and learn the basics such as balance, and learning to use the right aids.
PONY DAYS
Enjoy your whole day to spend with your designated Shetland. To include 2 trail rides through our woodlands, lunch, pony care, farm management and plaiting lessons. £70 10am – 3 pm. Age 4 and upwards. These run on specific days and will be advertised on our social media platforms- so keep an eye out.
